Exocyclic tetra-substituted carbon-carbon double bonds in uniform configuration and creation of tertiary or quaternary stereogenic centers in a diastereoselective or enantioselective manner – these structural motives are accessible by a cascade consisting of a Mizoroki-Heck reaction and subsequent Suzuki-Miyaura coupling. Two carbon-carbon bonds are formed due to suitable palladium catalysts that guarantee a high degree of stereoselectivity.
