HIGHrISC Effect Studied Jointly by Three ModISC groups

Some emitters for OLEDs make use of reverse intersystem crossing (rISC). Commonly, the rISC process starts from the lowest triplet state T1. Emitters in which higher triplet states Tn are involved (HIGHrISC) offer advantages in terms of brightness. In collaborative effort of the ModISC groups Czekelius (synthesis), Gilch (spectroscopy), and Marian (quantum chemistry) it was shown that the depicted acridone derivative features very promising properties in this respect.
